The Cinema in Callan, County Kilkenny was opened on 16th June 1923 and seemed to screen films in the winter with the summer being left for other purposes. One source refers to it as “Egan’s” as it was run by Bill Egan, although the Kine Year Book has a listing for Egan under the name Green View Cinema. It closed in May 1941 when he opened the Gaiety Cinema in Green Street.
