Luxor Cinema

Located in Clones, County Monaghan. The 450-seat Luxor Cinema was active from 1947 until the 1970’s. It was advertised for sale in 1974 but it is unclear if there were any takers. It also staged boxing tournaments in the 1950’s and was certainly disused for a number of years following the end of films. It was eventually demolished.
