Located in Rathdowney, County Laois. The Coliseum Cinema was active as a cinema from December 1945 and by 1967 it was still advertised regularly in the press. It seems to have concentrated on staging plays in the 1970’s. The building is still standing and is occupied by a community centre.

Opened December 1945 and run by Messrs Kelly & Egan. This gave the town its second “cinema” as films were also shown at the time in the Agricultural Hall by Thomas White
