Located in Glin, County Limerick. The Oisin Cinema was in the portfolio of Patrick O’Shea, and is first listed in the 1952 edition of the Kine Year Book. It was equipped with an RCA sound system and 500 seats. It is still listed in the 1971 edition of the Kine Year Book. The small town overlooks the River Shannon, not far from Tarbert, while the Oisin Cinema appears to be named after Ireland’s famous poet “Oisin” whose name translates as young deer.
By 2020 it had been converted into flats.
