Located on Level 3 of the Metro Building in Auckland city centre, adjacent to the Civic Theatre. The Queen Street Cinemas was opened in July 199. One of the 13 screens is an IMAX screen (the largest screen in New Zealand). It closed in April 2002.

It re-opened as Event Cinemas Queen Street in 2011.

Opened in July 1999 as Queen Street Cinemas, with 13 screens, including 1 used as an Imax, and closed in April 2002. Reopened as Event Cinemas Queen Street in 2011.
