Located in Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire. Built by Alexander Riddell as Riddell’s Roller Skating Rink. It became Riddell’s Empire Picture Palace in 1911. In October 1920 it was taken over by new owners and re-opened after a short period of closure in February 1921. By 1934 it had been re-named Empire Cinema and was equipped with a British Thomson-Houston(BTH) sound system. The Empire Cinema was closed in 1945.
It has since been demolished and housing has been built on the site.
