In then north Aberdeenshire coastal town of Macduff, The Cinema was opened in the late-1920’s by William McNab.
Later bought by J.B. Milne Theatres, it was refurbished and renamed, in December 1941, the Regal Cinema. The 1953 Kinematograph Year Book shows the proprietor as Regal (Macduff) Ltd.
After closing as a cinema in 1963 the building became Ambassador Bingo (its use when I visited, in June 2001). However, by October 2010 the building was closed and boarded up. It was expected to be demolished for flats.
