Located in Darwen, Lancashire (now part of Greater Manchester). The Savoy Picture House was opened around 1919. It had a wide auditorium, which had a 21ft wide proscenium. All seating was on a single floor. By 1930 it had been equipped with a Western Electric(WE) sound system.
It was taken over by the J.F. Emery Circuit in 1932 and they operated it until it closed in 1957. It has since been demolished.
