Located across the side-street from the Paramount Opera. The 375-seat Cine Rire was opened on 19th September 1938. It was later re-named Cinemonde Opera and in the early-1980’s was converted into five screens and re-named Francais and becoming incorporated into part of the Gaumont Opera. It was still open in 1993.
