The Crown Theatre was a silent movie house that launched May 5, 1912 with “Bread Cast Upon the Waters” and the “Battle of Who Run”. It was renamed Empire Theatre on July 31, 1916. In 1918, the Empire Theatre was converted to an auto garage.
