Starline Drive-In

Located in the Hillbank section of Elizabeth, to the north of Adelaide. The Shandon Drive-In was opened by Shandon Drive-In Pty. Ltd. on 16th May 1958. It had a walk-in seating area with 197-seats. It was later re-named Starline Drive-In and closed on 8th February 1989.

Closed on 8/2/1989. Demolished(date unknown?). Site is now a housing estate.

650 cars. Reported to be the only drive-in in South Australia with a walk in theatrette(167 seats).

The entrance(and exit?) roads were off Shandon Court.

This drive-in had its own newspaper, the Shandon News.

The southern side of the old drive-in site is now called Shandon Drive-in, coming up off Shandon Court(where the drive-in entrance road was).
