This opened on May 16th, 1979 by General Cinemas with three screens. It became University Park West on December 12th, 1986 when 6 more screens opened nearby. It was sold to Cinemark in 1999 who closed it in 2000.

I think the address is wrong here. 6424 Grape Road is the Cimemark 6 across the street. This would have been the three-screen GC inside the mall (6501 Grape Road, maybe). I can’t remember the pre-2000 layout of the mall, but I think it was roughly across the hall from where the Barnes and Noble is now.
