Twin-Vue Drive-In

Rick Smith, columnist for the San Angelo Standard-Times wrote in 2009 that this drive-in was at 1001 W. 29th Street. Opened on May 1, 1970, Twin-Vue Drive-In was closed by United Artists in 1981. It reopened under new operators in 1984, then turned off the lights forever in 1993.

The Motion Picture Almanac series never included the Twin-Vue Drive-In’s capacity, but I’d guess it was only about 300 per screen based on a Historic Aerials photo.
