The Jasper Cinemas 1-2-3 launched with Richard Pryor and Jackie Gleason in “The Toy” on December 10, 1982. The venue expanded to eight screens on March 27, 1998 renaming to the Jasper 8 Cinema. It also housed the Christian Church of Jasper on Sunday mornings. The theatre continued into the 21st Century changing names to the Jasper 8 Theatres. It was operated by Servus! which also ran fast food franchises.
