Olin Evans launched the Starlite Drive-In on the Paxton Highway on January 24, 1951. Free bottle warming service, individual car speakers and concession stand were just some of the features of the 200-car drive-in. In July 1955 it suffered damage to the projection box from a fire. The theatre converted to widescreen to play CinemaScope films in 1956. But a classified advertisement offering the drive-in for sale may have ended the operation. It was later demolished.

The actual address for this is 22520 US-331, Laurel Hill, FL 32567 Which is now a Tom Thumb Gas station. Comparing it with the historical aerials the Gas station looks like it was built in the front of the lot. There may still be ramp remnants back in those trees.
Boxoffice, Aug. 27, 1955: “FLORALA, ALA. - Manager Olin Evans reopened the Starlite Drive-In after a fire which destroyed the projection room and concession stand several weeks ago.”
