I used to work at the Cameo as an usher around 1950/51. The picture shows the basic structure of the theatre building as well as the confectionery shop which was on the corner just under the current Canada Trust sign.

So this means that the theatre building is not demolished, but currently functions as a bank.

Actually the TD-Canada Trust branch is the Cameo.

There is a TD-Canada Trust branch on that piece of land now.

Can someone tell me just how far north of Danforth this cinema was? Before my time but I have lived around that area a few times, including the first 12 years of my life and about a year ago, so I’m curious as to where it was and what stands on that spot now.
