Astor Theatre

The Sunbeam Theatre was opened at 109 W. Superior Street in 1908. In 1922 it relocated to 103 W. Superior Street, and the original location reopened as the New Astor Theatre. By 1926 the Astor Theatre was operated by the Finkelstein & Ruben chain. They were taken over by Publix in 1929. It was listed as (Closed) in 1943.

The Sunbeam Theatre placed its first advertisement on July 19, 1908. It reopened as the New Astor Theatre on July 27, 1920, and either closed or stopped placing ads in 1939.
