Beacon Cinema

At a cost of $80,000 to an existing building, the Beacon Cinema, with 50 stadium seats, was added to Seattle’s independent film scene July 17, 2019.

Founded by Tommy Swenson and Casey Moore, the openers were “Gold Diggers of 1933” and “Magic Mike XXL” from 2015.

The South Seattle Emerald notes Swenson was a former programmer for Alamo Drafthouse Austin while Moore was a marketing director for a Blu-Ray company and later for his own company.
