The long running theatre dates back to the 1910’s and silent film presenting “Birth of a Nation” in 1917. In 1925, the theatre was almost completely torn down to enlarge the popular showplace including a new front relaunching in 1926. The Glen Thetare got a Streamline Moderne style makeover in 1941 and advertised for a short period as the New Glen Theatre. The Glen Theatre began operating part-year in 1953. It was renamed Glen Art Theatre in 1965. It is in use as a Plastic Surgery Medical Center.
