Tatler Theatre

This cinema was built behind the Royal Exchange Building, and used the Royal Exchange Chambers entrance to the building to gain access to it. This was a corner entrance to the building, I have uploaded a picture of the building showing this entrance.

I have been researching the showing of European foreign language films in Leeds in the 1930s, using newspaper archives and I have found several listings for Czech, German, French and Russian films at the Academy Cinema, Boar Lane, Leeds between 1931 and 1935.
