The Springs Road Drive-In was opened on November 3, 1948 with Walter Pidgeon in “Holiday in Maxico”. It was operated by A.J. Rumley. It was later operated by Piedmont Theatres. By 1979 it was screening X-Rated adult movies. It was closed in 1985.

Today, Sigmon’s Bark - Mulch business sits on the property. There are no remnants remaining save perhaps for the east side of the property. You can see the trees are formed along the back two to three rows of the drive-in.
