Unfortunately for researchers today, exhibitors in smaller Blue Mountain locales didn’t always bother advertising in the main Katoomba newspaper, relying on posters and handbills to promote their screenings. This letter from Golby, printed in a film trade magazine advertisement, is one of the few references to the cinema in library records. (The ’M.P.S.‘ projectors were manufactured at the workshop of the late James Cummings).
