Elco Theatre

The Elco Theatre opened in 1936 in the small, rural town with a population that has yet to exceed 600. It was still open in 1957, but soon became a grocery store. In that there aren’t any buildings along Main Street which resemble a theatre, it is probable that it has been demolished.

The theater was remodeled into a grocery store, Gross Market, in the ‘50s. The theater sign was retained and updated to reflect the new occupant.
