The Ryderwood Community House was the first large building completed in Ryderwood. Although built in the early-1900’s, it was not fitted with a theatre until 1945 when it opened as the Rex Theatre, in order to replace the Sunset Theatre which was destroyed by fire a year earlier. The site is currently a multi-use facility used for various social and community functions.
