The Palace Theater was opened in 1925. It was renamed Uma Theatre in 1928 due to avoiding confusion with the Palace Theater in Leesburg, FL. By 1943 it had been renamed Umatilla Theater and was operated by Paramount Pictures Inc. through their subsidiary E.J. Sparks. It had closed by 1950. A reopening was attempted in the early-1950’s, but after a few weeks the theatre was closed again.
By 2008 a business named Temco Pipe and Supply was operating from a building at this address and were still there in 2024.

When the reopening was attempted, the Uma Theatre was under the management of MCM Theatres.
