Located in the Clifton district of the city. Owned by the Clifton Grand Spa Hotel (today the Grade II Listed Clifton Hotel), the Clifton Spa Kinema was originally the ballroom/pump room of the hotel which opened on 1st August 1894. The Clifton Spa Kinema was opened on 6th September 1920 and in August 1920 it was being redecorated. The cinema charged higher prices than others in the area. The Clifton Spa Cinema was not a success and closed in March 1922 and reverted back to use as a ballroom. The ballroom was closed in 1975.
The building stood derelict in October 2022.

The derelict shell of this building is still standing as of October 2022 the ballroom having closed 47 years ago.
The building was opened as a Pump Room / Ballroom on 1st August 1894 and was converted to a cinema seating approximately 350 opening on 6th September 1920. As such it was a commercial failure and within 21 months was offering half price seats. It closed in March 1922 and reverted to a ballroom which remained until closure in 1975.Some traces of the Projection Room still survive on the end Balcony where Musicians used to play in the early days. I do not think it ever used the moniker “kinema” in its title.
