The Clark Theatre was opened in 1942. Operated into the late-1950’s by Mr. Clark who also owned the Gray Theatre next door which had opened by 1940.

Per local Glen Haney who worked at both, by 1958 to cut costs the owner made the ticket booth and concession stand in the Clark Theatre serve both theatres.

The July 2, 1942 issue of Film Daily noted that Midwest Theatre Supply had recently installed new carpet in the Clark Theatre at Grayson, Kentucky.
