Garden Theatre building as Monarch Casket Company, mid `70s photo credit West Pittston Historical Society.

Opened in 1916 initially featuring plays, and became a movie theatre by 1926. It was still open in 1932. It was listed as (Closed) in the 1933 to 1936 editions of Film Daily Yearbook

By the 1970’s it had converted to Monarch Casket Company. Building is still standing and was most recently home to Crest Quality Cleaners.

The area reportedly flooded during Hurricane Agnes in 1972.
