This cinema operated under the name “Warden Woods” until December 15, 1995, when it was renamed “Warden Power Centre.” It closed on the evening of February 14, 2001, with its final films being “Dungeons & Dragons,” “The Family Man,” “Meet the Parents,” “Proof of Life,” “Dude, Where’s My Car?,” “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” “Men of Honor,” “Charlie’s Angels,” and “The 6th Day.” Also, for those saying its final day was October 31, 2001, the newspaper website accidentally used papers from January 2001 and labelled them under October. When reading newspaper listings, ensure the date aligns with the website’s date.

50 Snipes, It was operated by Loews Cineplex, who chose to keep the Cineplex Odeon branding for Canada. I uploaded the Grand Opening ad. Theatre was listed at LCE’s old website, WWW.ENJOYTHESHOW.COM.

So can I ask who ran it back in ‘98-'01? Can’t remember. Cause Cineplex Odeon merged with Loews in 1998 and ran in Canada as Loews Cineplex (even though most – if not all theatres in Canada – retained their Cineplex Odeon branding) until late 2003 when it became Cineplex Galaxy.

The only real noticeable branding style change in the Toronto area of that era was when they built the Sheppard Grande Theatre back in 1998 with that rather nasty new Purple/Orange Cineplex Odeon Logo.
