This opened as the North Loop Drive-In on April 5th, 1952 with Rod Cameron in “Cavalry Scout” & Barry Sullivan in “The Gangster”. It was operated by Lester R. Dollison of Dollison & Harrington. It was renamed Lomaland Drive-In on November 7th, 1975. Two more screens were installed on October 10th, 1980, and closed in 1987, to be immediately demolished to build housing on the site.

Edited from my September 30, 2021 (7:12 AM) comment:

The Lomaland closed for the final time on September 4, 1988. Screen 1 closed with “Short Circuit II” and “Like Father Like Son”, Screen 2 closed with “License To Drive” and “Blob”, and Screen 3 closed with “Coming To America” and “Eddie Murphy Raw”. It was immediately demolished afterward to build housing on the site.
