The short-lived Olympic Theatre lit up its theatre torch on March 18, 1915 with Marion Leonard in the 6-reeler “The Light Unseen” along with a performance by an orchestra conducted by a guy simply named as Haverfield.

Unlike most theatres, this theatre was equipped with a glass screen, which is something very unusual.

The Olympic Theatre’s history had a strange beginning as shortly right after the theatre opened, the theatres' projector (An unknown “Power Motor Driven” model projector) was damaged by a small fire caused by a small roll of film on July 31, 1915. It reopened two days later.

The Olympic Theatre ended its operation in May of 1917.
