Burt’s Theater was opened by 1929. This has been remodeled with balcony preserved. It is now an Indoor Marketplace opening May 2022.
I am looking for information pertaining to this theater that closed in the 1900’s. I’m also trying to correct the misinformation I get that does not even mention the fact that this is the very first movie theater in Mannington, WV and it is located at 116 Market Street. The 2nd oldest is located across the street at 115 Market Street and is also closed.
I know this because I own the former mentioned Burt’s Theater now.

From research I’ve done. It looks like a Dr Church originally owned Burt’s Theater.
He then may have built the one accross the St at 115 Market
I looked at the fire insurance maps, and it was not there in 1913 or prior to that. The 1925 map isn’t online.
