Opened as a roller skate rink in the 1920’s, the building was reconfigured in the early-1960’s into a cinema. In 1972 the format changed to live theatre and continues as the Coaster Theatre Playhouse.

Still open as of May 2023. A plaque on the building states this was the site for a roller rink and silent picture house in the 20’s and became the Coaster Theater for movies in the late 60’s.
