The UA Wellington Market Place 8 was opened by United Artists theatres with eight screens on December 15, 1989 and closed in 1999. It reopened as the Movies at Wellington in June 2003. It was closed on January 24, 2025. In December 2025 it was taken over by Flagship Premium Cinemas and following a renovation it reopened on June 19, 2026.
