According to one historical record, there was at one time four theatres which graced the square in La Fayette, the Palace Theatre being one of the earliest, in that it came into being around the start of the twentieth century (It was open by 1914). The Palace Theatre was still open in 1957.
Supposedly the building still remains but I have no record to date as to which structure it is.
