The Rivoli Theatre was two doors away from the Hippodrome Theatre. It opened Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 1929 with Betty Compson in “Woman to Woman”. It was a conversion of former retail space. It was closed August 22, 1955 and was demolished in May 1958.

Once the photo spot is renovated, I will post pictures of the Crystal, the Rivoli and the Orpheum. I found some of these when I was doing my research on the Hippodrome.—Jenn

The Rivoli opened Thanksgiving Day 1929 in a converted retail space and ran just over 25 years shutting down August 22, 1955 as operator Abe Levy shuttered both the Strand and the Rivoli. In May of 1958, the building was demolished.
