The Lumina Theater opened August 23, 2006, in the Fisher Student Union on the campus of the University Of North Carolina, Wilmington.

The Lumina notes they screen blockbusters, independents, cult classics, art, international and student films.

There are 333 Stadium seats, a 16' x 30' screen, Panasonic 4K digital projection, Dolby Digital surround sound and JBL speakers.

Sharky’s, next door to the theater, provides soda, popcorn and candy.
