This theater was opened sometime around 1924 by the Dalke family. It was located in the Hotel Woodstock, an old three story brick building that dated to sometime before 1885. As originally built, it was shaped like a large house, and had wooden porches on each floor.
Originally known as the Holtzman Hotel, the 1924 Sanborn shows the name changed, and a large one story auditorium added to the rear on the south side.
After the Dalkes opened the Community Theater in 1940, this was given over to westerns and B-pictures. The building was badly damaged in a fire in 1947, and demolished soon after. In 1977, Shenandoah County constructed a circuit courthouse on the lot.
