The Electric Theatre was located on Corbiehall, next to the Clydesdale Hotel (later renamed Seaview House). It was opened on 31st December 1910 and was operated by John Jeffrey a local councillor who also owned the hotel. In September 1913 it was renamed Coliseum Cinema. It was closed in March 1915 and was taken over by George Ainslie & Sons and was used as a motor garage. It was destroyed by fire on 3rd November 1922.
