Park Renamed Savoy

The Park Theatre opened on September 6, 1913 with Francis Ford in “The Invaders”. When the Savoy Theatre on the Boardwalk closed, the Park Theatre took the Savoy name in October 1924. It was closed in 1925.

In 1940 the Cinema Theatre (later renamed Shore Theatre) was built on the site (it has its own page on Cinema Treasures).

The Park / Savoy was sold to a Philadelphia developer in mid-May 1928. It never re-opened.
