Metro Theatre New Westminster

The Metro Theatre opened on March 23, 1938 and had 593-seats. It was part of the Odeon Theatres chain. It closed around 1955 and was subsequently renovated and, after going through other uses served as a rental hall for banquets, weddings and other events, known as the Heritage Banquet Hall. By 2023 it was in use as a church.

Current Google Streetview of May 2023 shows the building in use as a church.

An inventory of potentially significant historic buildings along 12th Street prepared for the City of New Westminster says that the Metro Theatre opened on March 23, 1938, and was designed by Vancouver architect H. H. Simmonds.
