The Village Twin opened on January 23, 1981 with Gene Wilder in “Stir Crazy” & Jane Fonda in. “9 to 5”. It was owned by Commonwealth, United Artists, First International and closed on March 16, 2001 by Carmike. Two screens of 258 seats each.

Google Streetview shows this theatre has been converted to a restaurant called Backaracks. There are still poster boxes remaining on the front from its theatre days. Current use should be restaurant.
