This elaborate parish hall was opened in 1901 and included a bowling alley, gymnasium, games room and auditorium. The structure was a tall two story building in red brick with trim in the local yellow limestone. The style was vaguely Romanesque, with a Gothic roofline.
Used by the children of St. Mary’s parish for plays and religious ceremonies, movies were occasionally shown, generally with a religious theme.
In 1958, the building was gutted and turned into a church school. The exterior is now a hideous box covered in metal panels. Today it is a community center.
