The Waterton Lakes Opera House opened in 1935 in Waterton Glacier International Peace Park, Waterton being in Alberta on the Canadian side of the Canada US Border and Glacier being in Montana on the American side. Designed by the architectural division of Parks Canada to adhere to the Swiss Alpine theme of the village the theatre continues to operate in the summer season as the Waterton Lakes Opera House.
