This opened as the Trans-Lux In-Flight Ciné Theatre on February 11, 1970 with Liza Minneli in “The Sterile Cuckoo”. It was renamed Joy Art Adult Cinema on April 8, 1977, Cinema Blue on September 1, 1978 and closed in 1985. The Showorld Family theatre reopened on the same spot on October 24, 1986 and closed in 1987. It’s has been gutted into retail.
