Valley Drive-In

From 1967 through 1973, Evelyn and Russell Burgess of the Valley Drive-In in Velva frequently submitted movie reviews to Boxoffice. On March 22, 1976, the magazine reported that the Dalrymple Theatre Service was doing the booking for the Valley, “owned and operated by Wallace Vibeto”.

The 1977 Motion Picture Almanac included the Valley Drive-In, capacity 200 cars, owner W. Vebeto (sic).

Wallace K. Vibeto’s memorial page on FindAGrave.com said that after his retirement in 1975, “Wallace and his family owned and operated the Valley Drive-In for 6 years.”

A 1985 aerial photo showed an intact drive-in less than a mile south of Velva on State Highway 41. The site had been razed by 1997, and no trace of it is visible today.
