The Cine South 8-12 is located at the south end of the Dakota Square Mall. It is operated by Carmike Cinemas, seating 750. It has a triangular marquee over the entrance with the theatre name in heavy neon. A small lobby with the concession area on the right as you enter and the small auditoriums are in a U shape around the lobby. More of a modern style theatre than its sister theatre at the north end of the mall.
In late-2007 it was remodeled, upgraded and renamed Carmike Stadium 9. It was taken over by AMC in late-2016.

It is now known as the Carmike Stadium 9 Theaters. All nine theaters are stadium sized with plush seating. Newly remodeled from what it used to be.
Now known as the AMC Dakota Square 9 as a result of AMC Theatres buying Carmike Cinemas in 2016.
