From January 5, 1909 through 1915, Portland, Oregon city directories listed the Grand Avenue Theatre at 92 Grand Avenue, on Portland’s east side. This places the nickelodeon on the ground floor of the historic Barber Block, built in 1889 as a mortuary with apartments above. It still stands at 532 SE Grand Avenue (the modern address assigned during Portland’s “Great Renumbering” of 1931-32).
