The Division Street Drive-In was opened by Tom Moyer of the Moyer Theatres chain on June 11, 1952 with Frank Lovejoy in “Retreat, Hell” & Bud Abbott & Lou Costello in “Jack and the Beanstalk”. It had a capacity for 300-cars. By 1955 the car capacity had been increased to 500-cars. It was closed in the mid-1970’s and was demolished.
The Moyer Theatres chain built the 6-screen Rose Moyer Theatre on the site, which opened on April 7, 1977 (it has its own page on Cinema Treasures)
