20th Century Theatres opened the Cornwall Drive-In on August 26, 1949 with Joan Bennett in “The Housekeepers Daughter”. It was the first drive-in in the area. It became the Seaway Drive-In on July 6th, 1961 screening Clark Gable in “It Started in Naples” & Walter Reed in “Macumba Love”. It was later operated by Markall Theatres and Canadian Odeon. It closed in 1987 for housing subdivisions.
